The thing I like the most about star rail is that unlike Genshin we actually get a physical catalyst character, cause if you think about it, ignoring literal weapons, they're all catalyst users in a sense with how they can only deal damage of their elemental type.

I like the feel of star rail's combat better, mainly because i've all 4 of my characters out on battle rather than genshin's only 1 out at a time. A huge emphasis on team battle. Plus, the game doesn't need more than 10mins of my attention daily, which is manageable for me and crippling monotony I tend to feel when playing the same game over and over again. Stopped playing genshin only after 3 weeks after its release, because the daily tasks felt like a chore over time.

I was never able to fully get into Genshin. That game just wasn't for me. Honkai Star rail on the other hand.. I don't know what it is, but I really love that game. And I find it quite Funny

Another part I like about star rail which is probably so random is how I don't feel punished doing other things on the side while I'm playing like,,,I don't feel bad eating smth or doing homework while playing the game whereas genshin demands your full undivided attention, especially with their difference in combat mechanics, the point of a game for me is to be casual and light hearted and star rail fulfills those criterias for me

Genshin and Honkai have their respective energy systems that limits how much you can do daily anyway, so I don't see why gamers should choose one over the other. Personally, I swap when resin or trailblazer power run out.

If you want to know what I think of Honkai: Star Rail. Feel like any other every day anime RPG turn base combat. That coming from any free download Gacha RPG turn base combat. I even play like non gacha version of anime turn base combat. In other word it not ever a new breath of fresh air to me.
